Cushions. Finally the photos.

Morning…

finally got around to adding the photos of my cushions rather than just talking about them….

Each one is handmade by me and is individual. Some cushions are made from vintage fabrics, others from new fabrics i have sourced over many years.

The buttons and ribbons are a mixture of vintage and new.

Not one cushion look the same and a few look great together.

The square cushions are 45x45cm and the other 40x60. They have a feather filled inner cushion.

Each cushion is £25.00 and can be paid for via Paypal. Postage cost depends on location but email me and we will work it out.

if you want more information or pictures please email me on bibiklamer@hotmail.co.uk

If you want to see more about my house and artwork from my university course then find me on Instagram KLAMER

PLEASE NOTE: the cushion with the rabbit is sold.

Gone cushion mad...

As I am still on my summer holidays waiting for my second year of my degree to start at the end of September I have started making cushions again to keep me out of general trouble...

Its been a long while since i have been by the sewing machine and its great to be back.

The cushions are all handmade from individual pieces of fabrics. They are all different, not two are alike and they all have different ribbons for the buttons too. The back is made from a vintage soft linen.
The filling is a feather filled cushion size 45x45 cm.

I hope you like them.

I add a few photos a bit later for you to look at.
Some of them are sold but always email me with enquires.

its been a while....

Well a lot has happened since I wrote last...
My Access course in Art and Design is finished on Thursday! Where did that year go??

I have applied for 3 Uni places and got all of them so very very happy indeed.

BA Hons in Graphic Design at York,
BA Hons in 3D Contemporary Arts and crafts at York
BA Hons in Textiles and surface design at Leeds College of Art...

I really want to do the last one but have deferred it for a year due to my children still being quite small and family issues...

The Access course at York College have been brilliant though!!  I have so enjoyed it and want to share some of my art bits with you if you dont mind... if you do; look away now..... :-)

Closing Down

Dear Customers, new and old...

It is with some sadness that I can inform you all that we are shutting our lovely shop and our website... Anne (my mother in law and business partner) would like to pension now and I have started an access course in art and design. I shall continue to be creative in some form or other but haven't got a website yet...
I will be setting up another blog in the same name (as it is mine of course..) so keep your eyes peeled....

Thanks for your custom and good luck in the new year...
x

Infact I might just keep this one and change it slightly.......

Katvig back in stock!

Back in 2006 when we first opened the shop here in Yorkshire, one of the first Brands we had to have was Katvig...
Katvig has since then done their best in the fight agains pollution and the way we recycle things... Although it has meant that the prices unfortunately have increased slightly.

We have now ordered some pieces from their winter collection and I think you will love them as much as we do...

Vigga Svensson is the woman behind the Katvig™ children’s clothes that have become an instant classic among parents around the world. When she got the idea for the clothes it was hard for her to reconcile her desire to protect the Earth with the production methods being used.
That's why she began to use organic cotton and recycled polyester, made out of used plastic bottles. She wanted her signature Apple prints and stripes to be as friendly as possible to the nature, to the people making it and to the children wearing it.
Vigga has also developed a transport system that saves enormous amounts of packaging. She is politically involved with the sustainable development, and has already had great success with putting her mark on the industry.
Her latest initiative is a cotton mill that would make Denmark completely free of the very polluting consumption of cotton we see today. Instead of the endless pollution of nature and environment, the cotton mill will make it possible to recycle all the cotton that is thrown away every year.
Recently Vigga has launched what might be the most sustainable material ever, recycled organic cotton.
